Fiber Optics Light Source and Power Meter

Both LIght Source and Power Meter are used in pair to conduct final optical fiber loss of completed optical fiber cable link from one end to the other which to include fiber optics losses, splicing losses & connector losses.
However, one needs to calculate optical fiber link power budget or to calculate optical fiber optics link allowable maximum loss. The measured fiber optics loss obtained from light source & power meter will be compared to the calculated optical power budget.
