The 2-Day Fiber Optics Tier 1 & Tier 2 Hands-ON briefly describes on the transmission of video, voice & data signals through singlemode or multimode fiber optic cable. This training course provides details on the different elements of a fiber optic network or components and scope of work involves in terminating and testing fiber optics as per EIA/TIA recommendation.

COURSE INTRODUCTION
The 2-Day Fiber Optics Tier 1 & Tier 2 Hands-ON Course is specially designed for those who have considerable knowledge in implementing fiber optics projects but would like to know more in details about following topics :-
- how to achieve fiber optics splicing loss as minimal as possible
- how to verify the installed fiber optics components are in fact in good working condition prior to handing over to client
- how to test and commission the completed fiber optics cabling as per TIA/EIA recommendation
- how to obtain accurate testing data as OTDR testing, Power Meter & Light Source testing, Visual Fault Locator and Fiber Identifier
- how to minimise fiber optics network losses in order to avoid unnecessary troubleshooting and maintenance for a long period of time
- how to convince client that the installed, tested & commissioned fiber optics network is done in accordance to TIA/EIA recommendation.
OUR GOALS
Majority of fiber optics installers or end-users are not fully aware of TIA/EIA standards on fiber optics Tier 1 and Tier 2 testing plus the acceptance of allowable budget loss.
The test gears being used at site were merely to show to clients that fiber optics indeed in good working condition and most of the time the end-users have virtually no knowledge in fiber optics testing procedures.

With the above testing data being analysed and respectively documented, the participants would be able to verify the measured test data against calculated budget loss and hence take further action to rectify any data that not within acceptable allowable values.
